Default Feeler post: anyone here have a summer/track beater setup I could *rent* for Qfest?

I'm not going to have a summer setup for my car by the end of Feb, and don't want to bother going w/ the Blizzaks on the car. Just wondering if someone that wasn't going would be interested. B7 A4 fitment needed. Thanks!

Default Think wet - if it's wet/cold enough just drive with the Blizzaks.

Default Hmmm. I've got Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2s on now...

You think they'll hold up to tracking? Seems like they could get pretty chunked up pretty fast with any cornering speed at all.

I guess I could bring the Falkens along in case it dries up. It is such a PITA to change wheels in the wet/cold.

Default Only if the track is wet/cold. You won't doing all that much speedwise if this is the case.

But you don't even want to think about heading out on a dry track wearing them or you certainly will make short work of those critters.

Default Agreed^^^

Wet is OK for the snow tires. But you'll want to have better tire is you run in the dry. I've got the SO3's for the wet and R compound for the dry. Can't wait for next month!!!

Default I also have S03s for wet, but when it is cold (and wet) they're not so good.

I speak from a very small amount of experience there in 2005. Summer rain at the PIR...not too bad. Winter slosh at the PIR...not as good (but seemed better with ALOT of water vs. just slick and cold, but speed also probably was a factor in the difference).

Default I have some usable S03's

On B5 16" rims that I could lend. I will be trailering down, so I could even deliver.

Depends on if the 16s will fit over whatever you have for brakes.

The S03s are near the wear bars, but unless there is ice they should work fine. I replaced them for other more all-season tires, just haven't done anything with them yet.

Default Thanks.

Which B5 rims are they? I have stock brakes right now, and I don't *think* I'll replace them by end of Feb. If you tell me which wheels I can see if they'll fit. Thanks again.
