Default PSA: Watch for the road construction on I-5 South near the Hwy 18 exit

there are a series of three ledges/bumps from the repaving and the first one is not marked (first one is the worst one).

The first ledge isnt as bad on the right side of the road but the left is very bad, there is at least a 3 inch ledge there. I bent a rim this past weekend (which the DOT is paying to repair)...watch out for this area if you are lowered or running expensive rims.

Default Ya, I slammed a wheel into the ledge on Saturday (middle lane).

I didn't realize DOT would pay for it... I don't think its bent, but I'll go take a closer look today.

Thanks for the heads up.

Default We hit that s*#t this weekend in the M3 on the way down to Portland.

It sounded pretty bad. I thought we had bent a rim or screwed up one of the tires. Luckily when Ipulled off at the weigh station the wheels and tires were okay. Whew!

Default yeah thanks...I'm gonna have to put that one in my contact database

I was coming home from PR a couple of summers ago on I90 (took the long route East on 18 all the way to I90). Coming down out of the Issaquah highlands, following dojo_s4, and passing some construction at about 70 mph (with the traffic)...then WHAM, an two-foot 2x2 pops up out from under a car, nails my grill, and shoots over the roof. @#$@ a$$ @##$# mother @#$#$ing @#$%! I paid for the fix out of pocket (although there are still some remnants of the impact under the hood...missing snapped off plastic "structural" bits). It was dang scary seeing that little piece of lumber flying right at my head.
