Default Uh oh!!!!....I went to Barrier today and test drove a '04 Nogaro S4 avant *DROOOOL*

It has every option except the multi-function steering wheel. The black/blue interior with the silver trim is SCHWEEET!!!! The car (6-speed) is "very" linear and doesn't feel as fast as my stage 3 but is deceptively quick. The clutch has a very high engagement point but I ended up really liking it by the end of the test drive. Shifts are very crisp which is a huge improvement over the B5 S4 and the chasis is SOLID. I'm going to run some numbers with the sales woman (pretty hot too =D) on Thursday and I may have a new car in a few days. The Avant is sooo cool!!! Wish me luck!!!!!!

Default Making such a fast decision...Wow.

I wish I had that kinda money to buy a new car. Also, it might be a little slower than your car, considering you were running faster times than John's stock S4 (14.30) but with mods, you can make it faster :-)

Default A buddy of mine is willing to buy my car if I decide to buy the S4 so I won't be parting out.

Default The new S4s are really nice but heavy and not as easily upgraded...

... in the powerplant department. You can get a little out of a $1000+ exhaust and a chip but that's about it for now. My personal opinion is the V8 lacks that "kick" I've gotten used to with the 2.7T. But the B6 is clearly far superior to the B5 (stock for stock) in every functional area. I don't realy like the new body style and not willing to give up my turbos, so I'm glad I have a B5 S4. No temptation to jump ship.
