Default New software installed...very happy with it ...

Cable, I really like the last setting that you put the car at, the "street" setting. The car pulls very strong in the 3000+ rpm range. Boost is supposed to spike to 18 lbs and hold (K03's just howl!).

The "track" setting I think wasn't right cause the car was running like crap at the track! maybe too much boost and/or timing?!

Hopefully get some logging done! and get it tuned in before the next track day (best time was a 14.3 with a missed shift and a bad launch, ouch!)

Default Here is the deal.....

...with a track setting you will find that 1st and 2nd are not much more than street, maybe feel even a bit slower (due to timing advance), but, by the time you open up third gear it shold do the bat outta hell thing........

We need to fine tune the car. Be sure to call me and setup some time this weekend so that we can do so. With exhaust, DP's, and a few other goodies you should see mid to low 13's.....with some practice.

Default do i argue with cable? :p

I dont know what setup you're working with, but depending on how much timing is increased, low end performance shouldn't decline. The problem comes about with the fuel trim, and the problem with just adding fuel accros the board. While you may be able to add fuel up top to keep the engine happy, you're also going to be adding fuel in the end where it most likely doesn't need it. That excess fuel in low end is causing it to run rich/low performance. I'm sure you knew this cable, just explaining to others

Default I was explaining feeling.

It feels like the car is slower but, infact it is faster. I have run into this instance myself. The butt dyno misleads you. In the end the timing will spool your turbos earlier and provide you with more power up top you just need to recognize that rapping on the gear may not provide you that feeling.....there I explained it.

I can create a progressive fuel trim but, he got the track tune....little more boost and little more timing.....real tuning has not yet happened on his car but, I knew, based on experience, that the car would hold the tweak I threw at it.

Default Argh.....

....sometimes it is just easier to explain that way. The other way of explaining takes so much prior knowlege on the part of the person being explained to.

Default meh :-)

Well, it sounds good and easy and very user friendly which is all good. I was just thinking he was using something more advanced and complicated, like a PC program and a laptop connected to a car so he could change fuel/timing/boost maps :-) I am probabaly asking for too much, hehe.
