Default OR and WA clubs do you guys ever meet at Skamania Lodge (read)

I am from NY but I come out usually once a month to Portland. I have stayed at Skamania Lodge many times and the roads in the river gorge are scenic. The food is pretty good and their parking lot looks like it can accomodate another Waterfest, not to mention great golf

Default Wouldn't be a bad idea...

I'm in Vancouver and try to get out a bit with the Portland Audi Club. (check em out on yahoo groups)

It's a great twisty senic drive, but the chances of getting open road for some spirited driving are a little more slim.

We are always talking about good drive ideas... Might be worthwhile.

Default This is what I drive when I am there (read)

Highway 84 is busy most of the day but at times when it is clear you can cruise up to 100 plus (My VT liscence is a help...)

I do like SR 14, it is more scenic and on sunny days early sat or sundays there is no one so that you can speed up a bit.

We often go in the early morning there, play golf or just hang out at the pool. Late brunch and Beers, looking at the sunset on the river. I like it. Well considering the views of the Hudson River here in NY, it is refreshing!

By the way I find more State troopers around there than on the NJ Turnpike!!
