Castrol Syntec on Sale...

Castrol Syntec 5W-40 is on sale at Canadian tire for $6.66.

I'm going to use it for the first time this weekend, in December I'll change over to the 0W-30.

Anybody been using the Castrol oils, opinions? I used to be a Mobil 1 person, but now trying out other oils. Just in case anybody is using Valvoline Synpower 5/10W-30, it doesn't meet VW 502 specs, even though Audi says it does.

Works great. It's got the 503.01 extended drain spec, which is much more stringent than 502.00.

I can't wait to try it out, but currently have 12 qts of 5W-40 siting in my garage. Where do you buy the GC from?

Only thing is it's not available in every CT: eg I only found 2 so far within GVRD that carries it.
