Default There is a severe shortage of Audi/VW tuning shops in Toronto...

It's very difficult to find a place that specializes in Audi/VW who can do the following:

1.) supply, install and service chipped ECU's
2.) Suspension work
3.) install high performance brakes
4.) manufacture or supply aftermarket exhausts
5.) provide good quality wheels (BBS, ABT, OZ, Fikses)
6.) supply and install shortshifters
7.) really, almost anything that is Audi specific

If I were to open up a shop that would do the above, would you guys support me? I will be looking at hiring 2-3 mechanics to start..perhaps scoop existing Audi Dealer mechanics.

Default I've been thinking about the same for Ottawa...

... you can do everything but the suspension and exhaust your self.

Default uh, not when you're a lazy-*** like me...

I prefer to delegate. Plus, I don't want to ruin my baby-soft hands :-)

Default Got my coilovers put on by Mittler Motors in Newmarket.

They're a VW/Audi specialist shop. They did a cash job for me too. The one guy drives an A4, so that was comforting to see he knows my vehicle. Give them a try.

Default I was thinking the same thing... partnering with a tuner in the US and becoming the Canadian (m)

distributor. There is an APR partnered tuner somewhere in Toronto but I can't remember the name.

I'm just not sure how big the GTA market is for Audi/VW stuff. I was thinking more of an online distribution setup and maybe partner with a local mechanic shop to help with installs. Who knows, even if we just saved people money on duty, it may be profitable.

Default not bad, Audi says 3 hours for alignment alone.....

install for them is probable 3 hours as well.... so dealer will charge close to $600 after taxes I would imagine.
