Default Haven't decided... I can DIY myself this weekend, or maybe have one of my techs do it at cost...

Very tempting to be able to have it done at work, while at work. Still would like to be able to find a 2.8 trans to bolt up to it... running out of time though.

Default It has to be a DWM, not going to do it unless the trans is perfect...

DWM's are considered stronger than 1997-1999.5's, only came in 2000/2001's A4 2.8QM's

Default Ask Tomasz about the fun of replacing a clutch. Fun problems which can be encountered are:

- removing the exhaust (always fun with things rusted up, especially when the exhaust goes through the rear valence)
- pulling the driveshaft off the transmission (hitting a double hose clamp with a hammer has done the trick on two of these jobs)

I have decided to go to Audi Club Shenendoah on Saturday, so this weekend is out for me.

Default Luckily neither of those problems are ones I'll have...

no rust on the exhaust since it's all next to new and the driveshaft was just off recently for the 4:1 Torsen :-) Going to replace at least the trans mounts since I'm already there... which will make it easier to get to the bell housing bolts that are nestled by the subframe.

Default unless you upgraded to the V6 subframe and tranny arms...

you won't be able to use both those 034 mounts... pretty sure you know that, but figured I'd toss it out there anyway.

lemme know how you like them though. I went w/ the tracksport tranny mounts vs the solids on the 4000 and they hold it in TIGHT. I might have to pick up those delrin engine mounts though as my turbo has melted the pass side poly motor mount I had in the car Looks like a melting candle from underneath, which is a bad thing.

Default Just grabbed some stock photos for the post. I'd get the 1.8T track density for the trans and motor.
