Default Seeking directional help... Philly burbs (KOP area) to Westminster, MD

Click the image to open in full size.

On a weekday. Need to arrive at 9am.
Mapquest is saying 2hr 25min.

Does anyone think I should head west from my location, then head south? Just to avoid Balimore. I have NO idea what i95 south looks like at that time of day, but I'm guessing BAD!

Thanks in advance Mid-Atlantic members.

Default id say you would need about 15-30 min more than suggested. B-More not that bad up there.

not like DC traffic, but arrive at 9 makes it peak time on the beltway (695). I dont think trying to cut anything off is a big help here.

Default 95 won't be the issue.....695 will be. I'd look for an alternative route

Default either take 76w or 30w from philly to 83south on a weekday it'll be much faster

speaking from a former pennsylvanian transplanted in bmore. also 95s aberdeen down can be dreadful in the morning at that time.

Default I've never heard anything good about them, thats all.

Why would you go there when you have AWE, Induktion, etc as other options?

Default 30 is an absolute NIGHTMARE. It's stop light after stop light and much of it is one-lane each way.

First off, 2 hours and 25 minutes is a gross over estimation of the time it takes to get from Radnor to Westminster. I can get from Phoenixville (right north of KoP) to where I live (25 miles due west of DC) in 2 hours and 20 minutes.

I don't think 30 is a good option personally. It's way too many lights, it goes down to one lane and it cuts through too many small-town America type towns with silly roundabouts that do nothing but impede traffic.

In my experience, when I used to drive up to Philly on early Monday mornings, 95NB was bad from after the toll to enter Delaware up through Wilmington. Southbound seemed to move better.

95 to 695 is your best bet, just allot more time to your trip.

Default ah. well they have the nicest looking CAI for the 2.0TFSI. They currently

have one on their site for the mk5 gti/jetta/pas owners. I have the same engine but they've never installed one on an A3. So I'm going down to get test fitted.

There are about 4-5 other CAIs on the market, however EIP's for the 2.0T, allows the usage of the engine cover. Most others don't, which I think is ludicris.
