Default Anybody want to help me do engine mounts? Lots of stuff found out when they put on my h-sports

Went to induktion today to get H-sports installed and cv boot changed. Here is what I learned.

1. H-sports are awesome, I never thought I could get my car tail-out so easily before (parking lot and backroad). It felt and I'm guessing looked like initial D, but in a 96, not an 86.

2. I have a blown motor mount. I'm considering replacing both with RS4 mounts if anybody wants to help me, I'll provide beer. If not I'm just going to pay for them to replace the one side with a stock one.

3. A power steering hose is leaking intensely, needs replacing, definitely going back to them for that.

4. My cam gasket or head gasket is leaking oil, not bad but a hella expensive install (yes, I said hella). I'm thinking pressure wash engine and observe over time.

Overall a good experience, but I hate walking out with some really good and alot of bad.

I also think a new sig is in order, but I'm gonna wait until after spring detailing so I have some new photos.

Default best news of all came just now. Dad said he'll pay for it!! So thanks if you thought about helping

He just had an ordeal with his porsche 968 motor mounts. I think I'm getting empathy points or something.

Default He is just so relieved his isn't paying college tuition. If my kid gets into the USNA I'll buy her

and Audi and some new motor mounts too!

I have a blown mount myself and have new RS4 mounts in my garage but have not brought myself to actually do the job yet. It is a pretty big deal. I'm hoping I can just kill the turbos soon and do the engine pull for everything.

Default depending on which P/S hose, it's really not *that* hard...

you know which one is shot?

Motor mounts on the 12v are a breeze... go check the 12v forum. I just posted for odelay12v what I did over xmas for my car.

If you were closer to me, I'd offer to help ya out... but alas, that's a long driver for motor mounts :-P
