Default test drove the G35 coupe today...

I've always wanted to drive one and finally drove one today.

Likes
exterior styling - classic coupe form.
exhaust - very nice rumble
engine - powerful, but it still lack refinment when rev'ed
transmission - I drove the auto, and it was willing to kick down. Not bad for an auto.
seats - very comfortable, not as supportive as my sport seats.
suspension - a little softer than my H&R coilovers, but very good for OEM suspensions.

Dislikes
headliners - first thing I entered the car was the mouse-fur headliners. Looks cheap.
headroom - lack of, the second thing. Moved the seat all the way down and still have less headroom than my A4.
steering wheel, non-telescoping - related to the above. Being 6'2" I need to reach the steering wheel without being cramped.
left side blind spot - huge blind spot, combined with small side mirrors, it will be difficult to merge into traffic.
really, really small trunk - seriously smal, can't fit more than 2 standard size luggage.

Verdict
Extremely good looking and powerful, but a size too small for me.

Did I mention it has a really small trunk?

Default I've gotten a little tired of the Nissan 3.5 exhaust note.

Given that 2/3 of their lineup has that same sound, it's no longer very special. It's starting to remind me of the Chevy Eurosport.

I can listen to the VW 3.2 all day long.

Default you know, most Asians aren't as tall as you are.

I bet I'd fit perfectly in there ... that's why I would never test drive one. LOL

Default I came very close to getting a G35X.

I really liked the ride and feel of the car. The
interior was very nice, with a lot of electronic goodies.

The tranny (auto) was probably the most aggressive I have driven. Very willing to run up to the redline, and the kickdowns were nice.

The exterior had some angles I liked, some I didn't.

The dealership, A++++.

But in the end, the B6 S4 won out based on my heart.
