Default My dyno graph from the Induktion Dyno Day (146whp, 171ft-lbs)

Click the image to open in full size.

Here's all the car's info:
-1999.5 1.8TQM
-1 bar GIAC Chip (program PGL30L7.03A, which is apparently a 91 octane program)
-DIY Cold-Air intake
-50-50 Mix of 93 octane pump and VP Racing 103 octane race gas (98 octane for the mathematically challenged)
-NGK BKR5E plugs (one step hotter than normal)

The graph is of two back-to-back runs. Nothing was changed in between them, the lower numbers from the second run are due to (massive) heatsoak.

Default The dyno was at Extreme Motorsports, actually.

http://www.extrememotorsports.com/dyno.htm

But I'm sure they'd be more than happy to dyno it.

Default I asked on the performance forum and Audi2ptzero said I might want to try 1 step hotter

with the higher octane gas. I'm guessing because the higher the octane the harder it is to burn. Either way, I changed the plugs right after the dyno because they are too hot to run all the time on pump gas without fear of detonation.

Default If the chip is for 91 octane why would you put fuel to get 98 octane?

YOu were better off just running straight 93 octane. As you can see the AFR's are way too rich and that is killing the power. Bad thing is that if those are measured at the tail pipe your AFR is even richer then what the graph says. You might want to go back and run again with just 93 octane in the car or see about getting a 93 octane chip.

Default I'll keep that in mind if there's a next time.

Yes, A/F was measured at the tailpipe. The race gas was actually oxygenated, too.
