Other than AAA, is there another place where I can get an International Driver's permit?

In most countries you don't need anything beyond your US drivers license
Most international driver licenses are scams.

I was told if its an extended stay, I might need one. In my case its around 4 weeks.

both of you are right, no memb. req. and its only $10... just wanted to know if there were others...
from where I could get one online or else I have to make a special visit to AAA in Wheaton.

I live in Europe. Trust me on this ...
You can drive with your US license as long as you have your passport with you. 4 weeks is no prob. Where are you going btw? I suppose you're renting a car.
