What: Capital Audi Caravan to the UMD Car Show When: Saturday, May 3rd at 12 noon Where: Starbucks on Rt. 355 Maryland by Tara Thai, and Barnes & Nobles Who: Audi/BMW/Porsche/VW Drivers and Friends Bring: Your F.R.S. Radio and Digital Camera! Coming up on Saturday, May 3rd will be another huge car meet on the campus of UMD-College Park. Named the College Park Car Meet II, it draws car enthusiasts from the entire DC/MD/VA area. The first show brought about 250-350 cars of all types. It will run from 1 PM through evening in Lot 4b of the University of Maryland-College Park campus. Sponsored by the Terrapin Motorsports Club of UMD. With a repeat performance of last years huge turnout to the UMD Car Show, we'll be caravaning to UMD from Rockville Starbucks. Organizers expect more cars than last year, so the Audis are being given reserved parking in order to accommodate us. We'll be meeting up at the Rockville Starbucks at Noon, and leaving around 12:30 pm to make College Park before 1 PM. If you can't make it to Starbucks in time, directions to the meet at in this post by one of the organizers. Things to note... -Clean cars look better than dirty ones. We'll hold a car wash on Friday afternoon and maybe also Saturday morning if you need a place to wash your car. -Several plans are in the works for things to do after the show, including a night drive, a party at College Park, and bars in College Park/DC. -We'll be having people driving down from PA and upper MD to the Starbucks, so be sure to welcome the new faces.
