Default A friend of mine just lost his left thumb in a car accident late last night in SI....

A friend who is at the hospital now visiting him just called me...and apparently he blacked out, and only remembers driving through the toll booth from NJ to Staten Island. He wasn't drinking and was by himself. Here is the story from the SI Advance.

Luckily he's alive and doing ok, but still losing ones' thumb is still going to be tough to deal with.

Default That sucks big time, a guy I work with just lost 2 fingers...

He accidentally got his finger caught under his lawn mower and it chopped of 2 fingers. He's been out since the first week of September and probably won't be back for another week or so.
