Default Got pulled in Highland Park again for tints no plate...

After he writes me up he tells me..."put your plate on and take your tints off or you won't be drivin your pretty little car anymore. I'm going to tow it"

what a total *****...protect and serve my ***.

Are they allowed to tow it for a nomoving violation?

Default I think they can take your registration away because of tints and no plate...

which then renders your car technically undriveable and they can tow then.

Default I think in order to confiscate your registration and tow the car, they need

to observe 3 visible inspection violations. So, let's say you have tint, a check engine light, and no front plate, then I suppose if he wanted to be a real douchebag he could technically tow it.

Default I would just zip-tie the plate to your lower grill or something for the time-being...

just so that you don't get hassled. 99% of the time, I leave my front plate on because I just don't feel like dealing with the hassle. It's just another reason for po-po to pull you over, especially when they see a relatively young person driving an expensive "hooked-up" car, they're just itching for reasons to take a look around inside.

Default Any cop that sees the tinted rear window will make you roll them up for them so

they can check. Believe me, if they really want to, they can find problems with a brand new car if it means they get to give you a hard time. ****, about two days after I picked up my car (temp plates still on it) I got pulled over because they cop said "it's illegal to replace your headlight bulbs with 'blue' bulbs." I honestly didn't know what to say to this guy. I didn't get a ticket, but all the while he was talking to me, his partner was shining his flashlight into every nook and cranny inside the car, just hoping and praying to see something illegal. Too bad for them I'm a good boy. =)

Default whats ironic though is the fact that most of small town cops can

afford expensive cars with the dough they are pulling in..
that's why troopers hate local police.
