Default Break in period for new A4 1.8t -5speed?

Hey guys, i was wondering about the break in period for my new A4. I heard that the A4 1.8t engine's need to be extreamly babied for 3000 miles or so. People were saying that the tolerances in these engines are extreamly precise. Can anyone give me some feedback about this? How many miles did you guys break in your engine?
