Default I did find a place not too far away, just took it up there & got the diagnosis

bad rotor. Apparently, Valeo brand alternator parts are not exactly plentiful. There were no new ones in town, so I'm hoping to get away with the inexpensive rebuild & not have to wait around on shipping.

Default I had my starter and alternator rebuilt at Generator Exchange In N. Denver on 44th

Pretty well known shop in D-town.

I only have 16XX on the rebuild. I think around $60 for the alt.
