Default Poll: What's your vote going to be on Nov. 7 about Amendment 44?...

To those unaware....
Amendment 44 - Marijuana Possession

It proposes a change to the Colorado statutes in that it wants the possession of one ounce (28 grams) or less of marijuana be legalized to adults 21 years or older.

If your going to vote whats it gonna be? Just curious, it has been talked/debated about alot in one of my classes (Writing Arguments).

Default wont federal drug laws trump this regardless...?

if its a federally banned substance, its possession can not be tollerated on a local or state level, right? i know these more localized laws often trump federal to a certain extent in certain areas....but fed. drug laws are fed. drug laws...period. that was my understanding at least.

regardless i feel, honestly, that these laws are stupid. if you want to do what you want to do on your own time, in your own house, that is a legal risk you as a person are willing to assume, and the consequences are just that...not unlike speeding. so, in short, im against this bill in principal. its more illegal for me to smoke a ciggy in a bar than posess pot? i think thats crazy ****.

Default abstaining. I think I'm finally purged from the jury duty pool.

Default For.

as long as alcohol is legal and still killing thousands of people a year, and alcoholism is still being passed down generation to generation via DNA coding, I believe a logical alternative should be available to those who wish to have one...

That being said, I am a college graduate going to grad school to get my doctorate in psychology, I don't drink, but I do watch my friends get DUI's/DWAI's time and time again with the potential to kill other people other than themselves.. So, if I want to sit in the privacy of my home on a Saturday, watch a movie and partake, I don't see the huge deal..

That being said, I vote for.
