Default Always amazed at the level of stupidity of people on the road...

today driving to work I'm behind someone in a BMW X5 or possibly a X3 - hard to tell because it was covered with a foot of snow on all sides.

This moron did not clear their back window, only cleared a 6" circle on the front passenger window, and the windshield was only 1/4 clear on the drivers side. I didn't get a clear view of the side windows on the drivers side, but all other windows were completely covered with snow.

How this idiot thought this was a safe way to operate a vehicle is beyond me. After I passed them, I was at a red light and saw them coming towards me from behind - thank god the light turned green and I was able to go before finding out if this person was at least smart enough to start braking early.

A number of years ago I was almost hit on the freeway by a moron like this who changed lanes right into me. At least that person had clearned the entire windsheild - I could see the woman in the passenger seat yelling at the dude - he promptly pulled over and started to clear the rest of the windows. :-)

Default Re: I like the idiots who think just cause they own an SUV think that ice isnt slippery to them anym

In all fairness I see just as mant AWD sedan owners driving like the insane SUV owners. I recall a small storm last spring and I saw a guy in his brand new TT spin out on 6th into the center divider.

Doesn't matter what you drive, it's how you drive.

Lucky for me I rarely get the Scout over 65 so it's pretty hard for me to drive reckless, plus having no real seatbelt makes me dive a bit more carefully as well in any condition.

I too was surprised at the number of lazy people who didn't clean off their cars. I saw one guy hit the brakes on University and send all the snow from his roof onto his windshield so he had to stop in the middle of the road. Also, signals, taillights and headlights covered, how hard are they to clear off?

We just had a conversation here at work how funny it is that when we get a good storm that it's like a freakin meteor just hit. Some areas got hit pretty hard so I know it was hard for them, but for the most part in the metro area any responsible driver in a 2wd vehicle would have been fine.

Half a second later and he might have been dead due to a direct impact on the driver's door. I am not a fan of SUV's or Colorado drivers, but so far so good with my cars.... {heads off to find some wood to knock on}
