Default Somewhat off topic, but...

I was recently (last Tuesday 11/12/02) laid off from Sun Microsystems in Broomfield. I've been with them for the past nearly 10 yrs, and while it came as a shock, the current state of the economy pretty much dicated that another round of layoffs would come about. And they have. The past 3 yrs at Sun have been doing sun.com IT work, and I've had the opportunity to be a nearly fulltime work from home guy.

Prior to that I was in both the sales & service organizations, selling into some pretty large named accounts in Colorado (telco & cable).

I've got 20 yrs of unix experience, ranging from system administration to software engineering to sales(hardware & software to IT work. I've also got some pretty extensive Windows experience...

And, I'm back into the job market. Currently working on a resume (haven't updated it for 10 yrs), and am actively seeking employment in the tech sector.

If anyone has leads, I'd appreciate hearing about them. My email address is jsalmi@frii.net. I'm located in Castle Rock, so driving into either Denver or Colorado Springs isn't an issue.

Thanks...

Default Check IBM in Boulder

No jobs here in Fort Collins at HP or Agilent that I am aware of - but check the website and make some calls. There may be openings at the Tech Center which is mostly sales and support. You never know when a niche opening will occur.

Sorry about your job situation. Thing are bad in high tech.

You best opportunity will be with smaller firms right now.

I work at Raindance Communications in Louisville. We are an audio and webconferencing company. Can always use good development and engineering help.
