Looking for personal financial planner/consultant (stocks)

My company is going public this week and I have no experience dealing with stocks. I'd like to find someone local suitable for a younger person trying to plan and manage things right from the get-go. Someone very knowledgeable in ISO stocks and/or tech companies would be preferred. Any recommendations? tia.

Anyone can claim to be a "financial planner", but few have actually done the work and are registered.

Try Jessica Lee, SmithBarney, Palo Alto. She's very familiar with Tech Companies. The Palo Alto office handles many Tech IPO's, and do the financial planning for their employees.

Suggest you sign up for his downloads and listen to his shows for a couple of days.

He was the only planner that had his listeners go to cash before the crash in 2000.

Email me and I'll tell you why he is so good. Been listening since 87'

I use Chris Scroggins at UBS. He has been there since our company went public a few years ago.
His number is (415) 954-6700. Most of the time I go with the recommendations he makes. Sometimes I just ask him to implement some particular task for me based on my own idea or research.

You may want to find out which Brokerage your company is using and use their in-house advisor/broker. That might facilitate how you manage stock options. They probably already have a relationship with your stock administration department.

That's pretty lame. And KGO doesn't seem to podcast all their shows either. Well, I guess I can spend three hours every weekend listening to this guy *rolls eyes*.

and I always listened as I was working on the cars or yard or going somewhere by car.

Also - I just joined for a few months and downloaded his shows a few years ago before I got XM since he was not carried by the stations here in CO.,

BTW - his thoughts and mine on Financial advisers - You need to know as much as they do - in order to keep from getting ripped off. So I learned over the years listening to his show.
