Default All I want is the 91 Program. I still cant stomach $500+labor for something that gets loaded...

through the OBD-II port, especially for an engine that's no longer used by Audi.

Good deal though, unless I'm missing something.

Default Yea I was wondering why they charge labor to hook it up to the OBD port>>

I guess that's how they make some money off chipping.

Default I'm cool with the labor actually, it's the shop's time and they make sure it works properly.

But $500 for an obsolete engine chip? Please.

Default Check the classifieds or eBay for the best deal. I bought my Sportec ECU and exhaust in the

classifieds a couple of years ago (and sold my stock ECU a year later). You won't get a better deal than that, but the longer you wait, the less selection you get.

A chipped 1.8T vs. stock is a night and day difference, especially in the torque department.
