Default Anyone want to go in on a garage at the Quattro Club Event at Sears Poing on 11/15-16?

The rate is $200.

Default I don't understand why the quattro club places track events in the middle of the week.

Blessed by STaSIS with 19" Champion RG40's wrapped in Yokohama Adven A/S, 370mm Alcons, APR snub mount, STaSIS-Ohlin Motorsport coilovers, Hyperco springs (800lb/in front and 1200lb/in rear), STaSIS 4:1 Torsen center differential, GIAC, STaSIS exhaust, Hotchkiss rear sway, K-MAC poly bushings. A cool little STaSIS badge.

Default Here is why

1) Weekend events are already booked up way in advance for various reasons...a) other clubs and more importantly because b) Laguna is doing a renovation..and clubs won't be able to go there until the renovation is done

2) Weekday events are cheaper to rent. Sears Point, according to my last talk with Dean Treadway (eventmaster for the event), is the most expensive track to rent in California these days. They are making the clubs partially pay for all the renovations that have been done in the past couple of years.

There are probably other reasons..but these are two good ones.

Default let me know.... taking the future Mrs. and I consider a dry warm garage an "investment"

in future track events. Meaning if she's miserable, cold and wet if the weather goes south, it will be a major sell next time around.

Default I know. I do understand the main reasons...

it just seems that there has got to be a break even point. Weekend event = more expensive on a group basis, but weekend events = higher driver turnout, which can lead to lower individual costs. You see where I am going?

Sure, it is great for drivers who can afford to take 2-3 days off at a time during the middle of the week. Sure, it is great when you have a limited amount of drivers. But Facilities like Thunderhill can situate sooo many cars and drivers. My last event there consisted of Sat, Sun, Mon, with four groups, about 40 cars per group and 5 twenty minute sessions per group.

Either way, just my two cents.
