Default hard to get in gear in the morning, time to change oil?

is it because of the cold weather (NJ)? or is it time to change the transmission fluid? During start up, I hold the clutch and go through each gear, after that, its fine. but i've never had to do that before.

Anybody changed their transmission fluid? how easy is it and what type of oil did you use. thanks!

Normal. All my manual outdoor parked cars are like that.

Normal yes but a better-performing fluid will help. Look into Redline or Motul, both are good.

Default i asked my advisor how much it would cost to flush the trans fluid

and put some fresh fluid in becaue i just hit the 100k marker. The owners manual says to do it at 100k. My advisor todl me dont worry about it, if you think you need it or you think its low, come see me. I mentioned that it is recommmened in the owners manual but he said ill be fine. I think i want to do it anyways.

How many miles do you have?

I changed my fluids at about 45k miles. I think it's about 2 hours worth of labour.

Default Yes. AMSoil is clearly the best gear oil. A good way to avoid morning stiffies is to leave it in 2nd

Obviously facing the right direction from overnight, start the car and procede in 2nd gear slowly as far as you can go, even repeating the stunt for the 1st stop sign or red light. After driving short distance, the trans is like butter. It's not just the problem of getting into gear, but the bitchy 1->2 shift.

It's nice to have the trans work well for convenience, but imo, also it the very best operating practice to keep from having wear problems.
