Default broken glove compartment latch

i don't know if anyone can help me on this one... my glove box is stuck closed. after looking at past threads, i tried removing the side panel and manually pressing on the latch to open it, and that worked. the only problem is that is the only way to open the glove box. we took apart the whole glove compartment- removed it from the car, in order to try to open the panel to re-engage the latch to the handle...... low and behold, it was a waste of time. is there anyway to get into that front panel to re-engage the latch to the handle? otherwise, the dealer is telling me i'll have to replace the entire glove box.

if anyone can help, that'd be awesome!! thanks!!

Default You can buy the latch by itself. I did that......a few bolts and the glove box is out!

Just remember to put your key in the lock mechanism when you take it out otherwise its going to suck!

Default no you dont need to replace the entire glove box.

A few bolts and you get the glove box door out. Then use a torx to unscrew the bolt that holds the lock mechanism!
