side door to the switch in back? mine is non-functional and I'm done with the dealer for a while

This is all the Bentley shows:

Location: Driver's side door trim in storage compartment.

Removing:

- Remove driver's side door trim:
Repair Manual, Body Interior, Repair Group 70 - Unplug connectors.

Carefully disengage catches -arrows-.
- Press switch for interior monitoring and towing protection -1- or trunk release switch -2- out of trim toward rear.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Remove trunk lid lock.

Repair Manual, Body Exterior, Repair Group 55
- Use a flat screwdriver to pry plastic tab -3- off retaining pins -1-.
- Bend plastic tab fully to rear.
- Pull contact switch -2- first sideways and then up and out of trunk lid lock.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Note:

Make sure that washers are correctly seated between plastic tab and trunk lid lock.

aslo do you know where I could find a copy of the bentley manual? Clair parts doesn't have it anymore and I tried ebay but I got ripped off
