Default an old post of mine, let me know if you find anyone else.

I'm thinking I will only be able to hold out from buying new turbos for another 6-9 months

Champion is going to be wicked expensive.

Default I just had K04s put on my B5 S4 by unforgettable about 3 weeks ago (more)

Everything went very smoothly and only took a week even though they were slammed. I was quoted $4,900 for parts and labor which inlcuded synthetic oil change, coolant flush, cleaning of oil feed lines, etc. So it was the typical price of $2,700ish for turbos and inlets and $1,700 for labor. My final bill was actually less than the estimate by a few bucks now much but still i always expect it to be more. My car running perfect and i'm very pleased with how everything turned out. Here's a link to there website.

Default Thanks for posting, I'm glad to hear it went well.

Chris and his shop have been good to my car. I hadn't heard from any others who had turbos swapped there so it's good to know.

Did you just have the turbo's replaced or did you do fueling, FW, clutch, mounts, TB job and the other usual "while you're in there" work? PJ K04s or something else?

Default I didn't do fueling or anything else yet besides the 034 street motor mounts. (more)

PJ K04s because i needed the car back ASAP and wanted to have the reliability of the PJ K04 so didn't go with anything else. They let me come whenever i wanted and take pics and talk to chris and the tech who was working on my car car so that was nice. My car only has 45k miles on it and i was tight on money at the time my K03s went so i didn't do anything else otherwise i would've done the RS6. But front mount, tranny and diff mounts, clutch, and hopefully fueling by the end of the year

Default Your turbos went at 45k?

I'm at the same mileage and thought I'd have another 30k in them at least, not that I plan on waiting that long to replace them. The RS6 are nice, do you know if they have put them in our cars before? I understand there is modification required to fit them. I'm waiting to see if Tial ever releases the GT28s that bolt up to our stock mani. Haha, It's always just "two more weeks". I think they are getting close though and I'm not in a hurry so I'll wait.

I'm glad they let you share in the experience of the install. I'd definitely want that level of access if I had a shop do the work.

Default lol... truthfully I need to spend less time reading that board

45k just sounded low, the average seems to be in the 70-80k range (of course there are many contributing factors).
