Default Is audi going to put the 3.2 VR6 motor in the A3?..The reason I'm asking...

Is because I'm seriously dying to have a fast car again. I miss my car big time. I've looked at HPA's single turbo kit for the VW R32 and it looks well sorted out. If they have the same kit available for the A3 (3.2l version) Then an A3 may be my next car.
I'd buy another VW, but an Audi will give me the grown up racer-boy look.
George. How you liking your A3?

Scott

Default Will it be a bored out version of the existing 3.2?

Default EIP has a nice single turbo kit for the VR6

however...I believe the VR's are VW only...while the Audi V6's (even though they share displacement)...are "traditional" V's....

Default Not sure it's the VR6 but definitely a Quattro and 3.2, should be here late this year or early next.

Default Negative. They share the same narrow angle. Audi just drops the VR logo to seperate from VW.

The 2.8 3.0 that the A4 etc use are either 90* or 60* IIRC.

A 3.2 60* V6 wouldn't fit in an A3 chassis.

Default LOVE IT!....

Especially up here in the mountains of NC. I'll be flipping mine as soon as the 3.2 comes out. I'll give you first dibbs if you want it. The 3.2 will in fact be the 3.2VR configuration. Not the V6. Don't know how long it will take HPA to make a turbo for the 3.2 A3, but "I've heard" they're gonna have an upgrade for the 2.0T first. You need my phone number again..?;-)
