Default changing a valve cover gasket question

My old car needs a valve cover gasket (AGAIN, 3rd one in 2 years). It generally costs $80 to get it done and I think the part is like $20 of that.

I'm already putting $250 because that noise I had was the entire right rear hub falling apart. Luckily the shop found one used/guaranteed for $80 because a new one woulda cost $271. And then I need rear bearings to go with it.

Anyways. I'm looking at changing the valve cover gasket myself. It's right in your face and very easy to see. It looks like you undo 4 or so screws, pull off an engine cover of some sorts, and then the gasket is right there. SHould it be that simple? Anyone willing to help me out doing it?
