Default drove to NJ/PA

Was forced to drive up to central NJ area for my brothers wedding this weekend. Really easy trip and the car behaved nicely the whole way, except for my retarded temp guage that likes to not work once you put the car in gear.

I made it all 1030 on 2 3/8th tanks of gas averaging 80mph.

Thankfully I'm taking the autotrain back, because driving one way is enough for me.

Default Re: How much is the autotrain?

First time I called I was quoted $366 for 2 ppl plus a car. Next time I called the price was $414. You get 10% off teh automobile cost with AAA discount. My ticket stubs worked out to $141/person one way and $132 for the car. I had gotten a round trip quote of around $766 the first time I called as well, so there's a discount for a round trip obviously.

Keep in mind I called last Wednesday, so this was < 1 week notice. It should be cheaper if you do it further in advance.

P.S. - The basic sleeper (no toiletries in room, just communal) was only $50 more one way but I neglected to take it. Spend the extra $50 and get one The seats are OK but they're basically just big bus seats with a half length foot rest (they reached about to my calf and I'm only 5'8")
