Default fyi, I dont care how soft a brush claims to be, they ALWAYS make little scratches on black cars.

crap, now I have to go and undo all that the next time I do this clients' car. Also have to take some clearcoat overspray off the door jambs. Clay work for that ok?

Default Some of that doesnt really makes sense.

its tough not put fine scratches. do a good pre rinse, lots of suds and not even the weight of the brush/sponge and you should be set. clay may take off some of the over spray, but if its what im thinking you will probably have to wetsand. So what do you have to undo?

Default just the scratches from the brush. After it dried it looked like it was put through a cloth wash.
