Garage is empty, add now

Suggestions needed on detailing w/o a garage...

Right now I don't have a garage, and I won't have one for awhile. Where I'm living at right now, when I leave my car sit for 10min I get dust all over it. Even if I just washed it. So my question is, how should I polish/wax my car w/o trapping the dust under the wax? Should I just ask to use a friends garage, or what?
