Default Noob question - protecting matte black dash/trim, and stone chips

I recently bought a '95 S6 Avant, which the PO kept garaged, but unfortunately I won't be able to in the near future. I do wash weekly, but nothing else yet. Just keeping it clean makes it look better than 95% of the cars around here, but I want to keep it looking decent (not show quality) for another 10 years without a huge amount of work. I've read Troy's Guide (very helpful!), and will be picking up some products. A couple of questions:

Should I use anything on the dash, if I don't want it to shine? I've just been wiping it off with a damp terry towel. Would like to give it some UV protection, but low or no gloss.

The C-pillars have a matte black trim piece that appears to be painted metal (could be plastic). Anything I can use on that to keep it from fading grey, or should I just repaint it when it gets bad? A glossier finish would look OK, there.

My front bumper cover and front of the hood and wheel arches are badly stone-chipped/sand-blasted from winter highway driving (no salt in the PNW, thank goodness). It's not to bare metal, so I'm not too worried, but anything I can do to improve the looks (short of a new bumber cover and paint)? The car is emerald green, and I plan on doing the full claybar/polish/wax thing soon, and keeping up with the wax. Also fairly heavy swirl marks so I'll be working on that.

Any other tips would be appreciated. TIA.

Default Without question my favorite dash protectant...

It 303 Aerospace. It has VERY high, if not the highest UV protection factor on the market. It provides a satin, factory looking shine. Not glossy or fake looking. It's water based and contains no harmful petroleum distillate cleaners which will dry out and damage your dash over time. Get some.
