[cleaning up a filthy Neuspeed exhuast]- simple green?

[cleaning up a filthy Neuspeed exhuast]- simple green?

I bought a used exhuast and need to clean it up. The exhaust is mint, but the tips and muffler are dirty. I used a little simple green on one section of the muffler and it did a great job, I was concerned if this is safe on the stainless steel exhuast? Also, whats the best way to go about cleaning muffler tips? tks.
