are the signature blemishes left by a poorly used rotary polisher. They don't look so much like scratches, but uniform dull "swirls" on the paint. What you get with cheap or dirty towels are actually scratches, they may be straight or circular, but they are still scratches, not swirls. That said, you have a black car and, speaking from experience, if it's a daily driver, it's never going to look 100% perfect. It's impossible.
When you wash, do you use two buckets?

have distinct swirls. They're only visible in bright, bright sunlight, so I guess that's the good news.
I wash with one big bucket filled with lots of water. I don't think this is the problem though because I wash so frequently, that there's never really grit on the car. In fact, most of the time I wash with just water, just to get the dust off. Do you think 3M Swirl Mark Remover is overkill if it's a very light scratch? |
