Default Spring detail...postponed indefinitely. :-(

Ahhhhhh...I'm going nuts here. I still haven't given my car it's spring detail. The door jams are filled with winter crap, wheel wells are worse than 2k2S4's after a muddy track day, carpets still have salt stains on them, leather really need conditioning (though I did the driver's seat yesterday), engine bay needs cleaning (badly), and drivers seat alcantara needs shampooing.
I've been postponing all this, knowing that I have some mechanical work to be done on the car...front suspension, left rear shock and spring needs to come out, baseball sized dent needs to be removed from the front quarter panel, car needs to go into the shop for an alignment and brake bleeding, I'll need to swap in race pads for a track day in June, front grill and license plate cover need to get repainted (winter was not kind to them)...and frankly, after that track day in June, my car will need a full detail anyway. Anyway, some of the mechanical work I'll be doing myself, but it's inevitable that I'll touch the paint, and scuff it (or my dealer will) ever so slightly...so I want to postpone the polish until after I'm done monkeying around with the mechanical bits. It's killing me to look at my shameful, dirty car right now!

Okay, I need a car to detail...any volunteers? :-P

Default Wanna do my wife's car? It's horribly dirty!

You woud cry if you saw it. That's my next project. (unless you feel like road tripping up here to VT for some scrubbing!)

Default SO?!?!?!?! ;-)

Yeah, I know. I'll give it a good shine, and shampoo.. It does clean up pretty well, but my beloved and our offspring have a way of making the car filthy.

Default HAH!! I hesitate when the dealer asks for my keys! :-)

"Are you SURE you need my keys to change the oil?"

Default Pick me! Pick me! ooh, ooh, Pick me! :-)

I haven't had time to do much more than wash my car. I'd be glad to let you detail it for me. :-)

Too bad I won't be able to make the detailing tech session in Nazareth on the 17th. I'd love to see some of your detailing tips. But, I'll be on my way to the Smoky Mountains in TN for some much needed vacation.

Later,
Eric
