Black residue on rims (more)...

I have noticed a small amount of black residue/pitting on my stock S4 rims in the corners. I clean the rims on a weekly basis, but I'm not sure of the previous owner's habits with respect to the first 20k miles. It is not bad at all, but noticable if looking for it.

Is there anyway to remove this without messing up the clear coat that is on the stock rims? Any recommended products?

I have this problem on my TT, but it's only a real problem on my front right wheel--strange.

Try a set of EBC "Green Stuff" brake pads. They wont fix the pitting already on the rims but they will lessen the black residue that stock brakes pads leave behind
