Default Who's got a porter cable 7424?? Need a little help!

Click the image to open in full size.

I ordered a PC 7424, and I called carcareonline and got a velcro backing plate and some meguiars polishing pads. Well, as you can see from the picture, the red meguiars pad has a 5/8" female connector, while the pad that came with the PC has a 1/4" male connector. Is there some kind of adapter available, or are the meguiars products only compatible with the meguiars polisher (which is supposed to be a rebadged 7424...with possibly a different attachment mechanism??). Why can't things be simple?

Default Nevermind! I called carcareonline (they rock!)...

I ordered the wrong part. The right backing plate for the 7424 is not listed on their website. There are two velcro backing plates, one is 5/8" female, and the other has a 5/16" male. Carcareonline is going to ship out the right one for me! :-)
