The Southern California Audi Club has teamed up with the Alfa Romero Owners' Club of Southern California for a one of kind presentation - the restoration of one of Audi's fabled marquees, a 1939 Horch.
Mosiers Restoration can only be described as an atelier - an artist's workshop. For those of you not familiar with Mosier Restorations, Bob Mosier and his talented staff of artisans are considered to be amongst the finest quality restorers in the world of classic and vintage automobiles. For example, you will find in their workshop a 1931 "Pinn Farina" designed V16 Cadillac Boat tail roadster. This is one of the oldest known and possibly the first major body design by Pinn Farina and it will be presented at Pebble Beach 'Concours d'Elegance 2005'. However, for us the special automobile is a 1939 Horch currently under restoration. The reconstructive surgery is continuing on this magnificent piece of Audi's fabled heritage. The wood frame has been refurbished and the skin reattached. Sounds painful, but the sight is awesome. Also, on the floor are a pair of Stuz and Duesenbergs! Come discover this magical place for automobile purists and witnees a piece of Audi's imperial history. As Audi's (then Auto Union) premier marquee, Horch was the ultimate in European class, refinement, sport, and luxury. There will be a special presentation on the history of this specific Horch automobile.
Come join us as guests of the The Alfa Romero Owners' Club of Southern California for an evening of automotive history. Refreshments will be available. Time is 7:30PM on Friday.
The event starts at 7:30PM. As we are providing refreshments, please RSVP to richard.gunde@dr.com by March 25th, 2005 as a courtesy to our hosts.
