It was a slushbox, and the downshifts (when you floored it), were horrendously sharp, my head snapped back everytime. Car never gave her trouble though. I called it a "piece of plastic". Mike

The family ride. This car kills the newer Impalahhhhs, honduhs, hyundahassss, and pretty much everything GM, Chrysler, and Ford makes. 1984 4000-S [non-quat], black re-paint , 1.8ltr 4 cyl, KYB struts front and back, front and rear anti-sway bars, OEM Audi Radio [Blaupunckt], CD player w/ MB Quart speakers, OEM 13" ronal snowflake rims. 395,865 miles and counting, 31 mpg on combined city/hgy mileage. The old boy is back on the road! Portable automotive security system for above cars provided by a big white German Shepard!!
