Of course, I'm completely inept when it comes to wiring up relays. I gave up after my third harness caught fire because I wired the relay wrong.

Im with you Evilclown... I never got too in to wiring things up...
The "plug and play" works very nicely... All you need to do is route it so it all fits, place the H1 switch somewhere... (or wire it into the highbeams if you like.) I put mine in the driver's side storage cubby wall... and plug the old headlight plug into the adapter and your good to go.

All it took was time, about 2 good hrs, not including the planning. The fuse/relay box I used cost $20 from the junkyard, was off an older saab.

I had to tweak it a little (cut it) to fit my configuration (h4/h1s on early coupe). + the h1's are wired to my high beam circut. The harness comes so you can wire it up 2 different ways.
Also, there's hook ups for the city lights!! I do wiring for recording studios for a living (now freelance, that means I'm unemployed!). Blau's quality is very good and directions are very good. It's probably a 3hr. job to instal it. If you made your own harness and didn't kluge it together, it would take 1 full day minimum! The difference in brightness is night and day! I instaled 80w/100w H4's and 100w H1 bulbs, with the beams on I can see ****ING sputnik!!!!!!! Sorry, I have a light fetish, and I sometimes get carried away!! :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Check out the link. This wiring harness is $35 Plus $8 shipping. Very high quality, and they are willing to do custom ones if you ask for no aditional charge. (like 9004 input to H4 output or 9004 input to 9007 ourput, etc)....

I've been to a LOT of NAPA's and every one (even the crappy ones) have the 80/100W bulbs for $11 each. They are usually not with the headlight bulbs. They are with the other accessory bulbs. They are in Wagner blister packs. They are labeled something like H4 bulbs for Off-road/motorcycle use only.
