Seriously, though, there are quite a few differences between the 3B and AAN(engine management, cams, etc), but you can upgrade the 3B to RS2 spec just like you can the AAN; it just takes a little more work.

the intake manifold won't fit, and the fuel rail needs some modification. but i just figure i'd be fine being around 290hp and not 315hp. i've also got some skill, so i'm sure i can tune it to spec anyway.

I think the intercooler and the exhaust manifold are the only differences, aren't they?
Either way the 3B is a better buy, with the money you save you can buy enough mods to make up the difference and some. |

1991 Audi 200 quattro although there was also a 10v turbo available 89-91. Only the manual transmission 91' 200 quattros have the 3B (20v turbo).
They should cost between 2500-3000 as far as I've seen. You could get lucky and find a junkyard that doesn't know what they have, but I doubt it. |

it's true that the 91 20vt was a manual, but it was more because all the quattro 200s were manual. also, all the 89-92 90 quattros were manual.
