Default You need more then you think

I can tell you from personal experience that it is a B#%^H. I did this very conversion on my friends 2.3L CGT. Have you looked at the car to see what the differences are? Well I will tell you that the entire floor pan is different. The auto tranny is fatter and needs more room so Audi made the floor pan (or more specificly the center tunnel) larger. The only reason that I was able to do the conversion is because: 1. I had a parts car which I was able to cut the floor pan out of and 2. I am good at welding. If I had it to do over I would have used a quattro floor pan, if I had to do it but the real chose would be to not do it at all. It took me a good 100 hours to finish the project. Ask Jon Rudish how it turned out its his daily driver.
