Default Chin Spoiler for '85 4kq...Where do I get one??

Click the image to open in full size.

I have been looking for a chin spoiler to fit an '85 4kq. I have looked at Blau (they make one, but it's out of stock till god only knows), 2Bennett, TAP & Dynalinx. No one seems to know, but they do exist. This is a pic of Mike Tipton's '86 Coupe showing an obvious "add-on" spoiler. Mike, if you read this- where did you get it? Can anyone else help?

I made one myself. I answered this ?? a few days back so look at the back log.
If you want, you can email me with your phone # and I'll call you to help.
ps - I used a single red tape stripe at bottom to match car, paint shop guy told me it could easily be painted and hold paint.

good luck

Here is another view. Neither do it justice, it looks really good, especially for the low cost!

Looks good! I have reconciled myself to the fact that I'll have to make one, but when I saw Tipton's Coupe, I though possibly somone out there makes one. I even spent about $60 on carbon fiber and resin supplies, but I can still use a base for the project. I am going to cover my grill with carbon, too. I think it'll look good, especially if I do a chin spoiler out of it, too. Garden plastic, huh? What's the brand name of the stuff? I'll check it out.

Its an OEM Audi part! I you have a set of the older microfische, the part number can be found there.

I was given the part number years ago, and Carlsen
Audi in Palo Alto CA, found it for me stashed away in one of Audi's National Warehouses.

Story goes it was offered up by Audi as an option, but at first they didnt sell. So Audi removed the parts number from the system. The parts guy at Carlsen had ordered them before and knew which warehouse had them stashed and how many.

Jeffery Goggin has 2 of them. He was selling them
at one point, and for top dollar.

They are very rare item to find. Often immitated.

You might try EuroPart in CA. Walter once had a couple.

The OEM Audi ones often fetch $200+ even used.

Damn! Somehow I knew that was going to be the answer. But, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the leads. I was going to try and make one ( I may still have to), but I'd much rather have an OEM. Croos your fingers...

I keep calling Blau about every week or so, but they are transfering thier mold from fiberglass to plastic and have been for at leat a year, so I have given up hope.
