Default Help with my 1976 Audi Fox

hey guys, I was hoping that someone had the part number to a shift linkage bushings that I need. I order what the dealer had listed but was not the bushing I needed. The bushings I am talking about are the upper two, not the lower two. I have one of my bushings(823 25e 149) still in the car which is the passenger side upper side but my problem is the driver upper side is completely missing. The dealer only sells the hole plate loaded with bushings for $60 bucks each side. But when I gave them the part number of the one pushing I had they said it was still good and it was only $3 bucks. So I was wondering if anyone knows what the part number maybe becuase the ETKA is no help at all. maybe someone has a fox shifter laying around or can look under their car for my. thanks, I would really like 1 and 2 gear back.

Default Well, I'm not much help, but I am interested....

If you do find out (my ETKA is not working), do you think you could find out whether it is the same part # for a 1974? If so, can you letme know BOTH part numbers: upper and lower? I don't need them now, but plan to have the car a LONG time and may at some point. Thanks.

Oh...how about posting a few pics of your car?

Default Part numbers for linkage - shifter

Hey I got all the part numbers you will need to rebuild your fox linkage, ETKA only lists the dust boots and some bushings I didn't use but I figured out all the others.

* large oval (drivers side) bushing: 823-711-593-B
* rubber dust cover for oval bushing (#33): 823-711-641-B
* round (passenger side) bushing: 823-711-594-B
* rubber dust cover for round bushing (#34): 823-711-642-B
* round lower bushings (2):
* Orginal no longer avalible: 823-711-597
supersession: 811-711-597 (did not work on my car)
* Metal linkage "T"(couping piece #28) for lower bushing:
Orginal: 811-711-559
supersession: 811-711-551 or 811-711-552-A (did not order these, sorry don't know which works with superseeded lower bushings)
* 10mm ball bushing on stablizer rod (check you car on which one you need I needed the 10mm one and not the 13mm one): 803-711-279-E
* 13mm ball bushing on stablizer rod (for later style linkages): 811-711-279
* ETKA shows you need but I didn't use (#25): 811-711-281-C

Default my 76 Foxy lady

she has not seen the road sense 1994 and she has a lot of rust but no cancer. Other than the fuel leek, linkage problem, broken window regulator and the lake in the trunk she is great fun and looks classic 70's.

Default There was one in Texas that WAS being driven....is it this one? If not, quite a coincidence...

Yours may be the same color as mine (yours might be slightly lighter?). Are you going to truly "go through it" and make things right? A full-on restoration?

Hey,

Any thoughts on selling that black CGT?

im looking to get a nice condition cgt in black.

i had a 1986 with 114k miles ( red )and i loved it to bits. sold it when i got a new job and got cuz i felt like i wanted a new car. so i got myself a B6 S4 for a treat... problem is i miss my Audi coupe gt. So im looking for a nice clean coupe gt to keep as a project car. one in pretty good condition that i can restore and rebuild to be perfect.
