Default PowerSteering/Brakes

In the middle of the winter a problem with my power steering arose, making it extremely difficult to turn the steering wheel. Sometimes it's as easy as it should be but others not. My power steering fluid is low but not empty, any suggestions?
Also around the same time my brakes got real hard. The pedal is extremely hard to press yet again other times easier. My ABS light is always on in the dash. and the on/off button doesnt work on the console. Wondering if it's an ABS problem or other....(rear rotors have rust build up so I'm pretty sure the rear brakes aren't working properly either)
HELP!

Default top off your hydraulic resevoir, it's used in the power assist steering as well as for brake booster

the abs thing is a whole other fiasco, considering pushing the button does nothing, I'd be that the fuse in the abs relay is blown(under the dash in the cluster of relays, think its the only one w/ a fuse under there) or if the relay is even in there. the abs sensors need to supply equal readings from left to right in order for it to work correctly, if the sensors have been removed it can be hard to get them back in correctly

Default ^^Second^^

these cars use a form of hydroboost for power steering and braking. check the rack and pinion seals. that was the cause of my loss of fluid in my 100.

Default Re: ^^Second^^

same problem (fluid loss) - yesterday: new hoses from hydro pump to servo, new sleeves, new pump, new fluid - now ok

ABS problem could be in dirty senders on wheel hubs, check SJM for info
