and speaking of the phone control unit.... how do you get it out without having a key?

drill the lock? hacksaw it?

maybe there's no need to get it out, but it seems senseless to carry the extra "junk in the trunk" after all, it would be a few more pounds out of the 4000 lb beast... besides, maybe my CD changer could go in that spot

any ideas?

It's a "generic" key. Motorola 2135 IIRC.. you can get one from EBay for about $5.00.

Also opens most newpaperboxes and some select other things.
