Default Question on little coin holder gizzy on 20020v... spring fix? Removal?

I have never really seen one of these on another car - it fits into the dash just above the radio and is a great little toy - holds a bunch of change for meters and such. Mine no longer springs open as it should - I think the problem is one of the anchors for the spring is out of the casing and now just pokes out below the device. I have been fiddling around trying to get the little contraption out so I could repair it but have thus far not had any success.

Anyone know what I am talking about and have an idea of either how to remove it or fix the spring issue without removing?

Thanks

Andrew

Default if it like the ones I had you can simply pull it out... I have a spare somewhere if you want it.

Default I gave it a little tug on its door and I'm going to rip that off if I pull any harder...

maybe I'll try the old prying method or pop-out from behind.

Good to know nothing holds it in other than side pressure.

If its busted beyond repair - I may want yours. I like it very much and use it constantly.

Default Pull out the pass heated seat switch or the radio and push it out from behind.

Default Mine just tugged out... <edit>

it leaves you with a nice little cubbythe door comes off with it I think. Been a while.

Thinking about it a little more I think the door comes off then the coin holder can be removed.
