Default 87' 5000 CSt auto tranny Q's

anyone know which trannys will fit the mc1 motor

i'm wondering about the wv quantum tranny will it hold up to the turbo or do i need a really beefy one?

Bentley manual has a chart comparing all of the different varietys of automatic trannys - a lot of the innards are similar but torque converters, valve bodies, and gear ratios vary by application. Also turbos use stronger components including planetary gears with additional "planet" gear; I think the clutch packs are different as well.

Personally I would rebuild what you have.
